Johnson City is a
small community, approximately one mile square. The population in
Stanton County is 2300.
Queen’s Court
Apartments are located on the north side of town, and, to give you
an idea of how conveniently located these apartments are, across the
street is the hospital and out the back door is the senior center.
Both the Sheriff’s Department/EMT Services and the public library
are just three blocks south of the complex.
A tour down Main
Street (one block to the west) includes a gas/convenience store, the
courthouse and city hall, banks, several restaurants, newspaper
office, craft/gift shop, post office, a laundry, hair salon, two
doctor's offices, physical therapist, a pharmacy, a dentist's
office, an automotive supply store and a florist shop. A grocery
store and a variety store are at the end of Main Street.
The Stanton County
Museum is located at the south end of Main and one block east, and
just a block from the Musuem are baseball and softball fields,
the county swimming pool, and Battin Park containing playground
equipment, and basketball and sand volleyball courts.
The fire station and
several churches and schools are also nearby the apartments.
